It's Youtube's Monetisation that needs an overhaul. For new Youtubers, their accounts aren't moneymakers until they have attracted at least 30k subscribers. Maybe this needs to be lowered.

That being said, there is a whiff of self-entitlement attitude to this article that wants more money, but youtubers have to work hard to get paid, and that should always be an important and respectable value to have, rather than just to expect more money without putting in the work to get it.
